Special Police Officers (SPOs) Engagement Notice for District Poonch

The District Police of Poonch has announced an employment notice for the recruitment of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in J&K Police. Interested male candidates from specified villages of Dist. Poonch are invited to apply for the engagement.

Key Dates:

• Application Submission: Starts from 3rd July 2024 until 8th July 2024 (except Sundays and holidays)
• Date/Time of Physical Endurance Test (PET): Scheduled against each village (please refer to the official schedule)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years of age as of 01-01-2024
• Education: Must have passed matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board by the cut-off date for the application
• Physical Standards:
• Height: Minimum 5’6″
• Chest: 32″ (Unexpanded) – 33″ (Expanded)

Physical Endurance Test (PET):

• 1 Km race for which the top performers as per the vacancy will be provisionally selected

Selection Criteria:

• The selection will be based on the Physical Endurance Test and as per the number of vacancies available
• No separate marks will be awarded for higher education

General Instructions:

• No application fee is required
• Candidates must submit attested photocopies of eligibility certificates (qualification, date of birth) with the application form
• Include four passport size colored photographs with your application
• The position of SPO is temporary and there is no claim for permanent absorption
• Incomplete or improperly filled application forms will be rejected
